Services
Eight ways we work with museums, science centers, zoos, aquariums, libraries, and makerspaces.
Every engagement is scoped to the organization. Some clients need one of these; most need two or three that fit together. Jump to a service below, or get in touch to talk through what you're working on.
01
AI Integration & Enablement
Practical help deciding where AI tools belong in your organization, where they don't, and how to put them to work without handing sensitive data or editorial judgment to a vendor. We work at the level of staff workflows, not slideware.
What this includes
- Assessing which tasks across departments are a good match for current AI tools
- Hands-on staff training, tailored to the jobs people actually do
- Drafting internal use policies and data-handling guidelines
- Building small, maintainable tools and workflows around your existing systems
02
Exhibit Design & Fabrication
Exhibits built to be run by the people who work in the building. We design and fabricate, then hand over documentation your team can actually use, so routine maintenance and small changes don't mean calling us back.
What this includes
- Concept development and design for new exhibits and gallery refreshes
- Fabrication and installation
- Hands-on and interactive components
- Documentation and maintenance guidance written for your staff
- Repair and refresh of exhibits you already have
03
Makerspace Planning & Buildout
From an empty room to a working space with the right tools, layout, safety practices, and programming to match. We plan spaces around who will use them and who will run them, then help build them out.
What this includes
- Space planning, tool selection, and layout for safety and flow
- Sourcing and setup of equipment and furniture
- Safety procedures and staff training on tools
- Makerspace curriculum so the space opens with something to do in it
04
Learning Design & Curriculum Development
Programs, workshops, field trip experiences, and educator resources built around how people actually learn in informal settings. We design for the floor, the classroom visit, and the take-home, and we write the materials your staff and volunteers will deliver.
What this includes
- Program and workshop design for school groups, families, and adult audiences
- Curriculum aligned to state standards where a client needs it
- Facilitator guides, activity sheets, and educator training materials
- Refreshing existing programs that have drifted from their goals
05
Community Programming
Events, series, and partnerships that bring the surrounding community into the building and keep them coming back. We help plan programming that reflects who actually lives nearby and that staff can sustain after launch.
What this includes
- Planning recurring public programs, family days, and themed events
- Building relationships with schools, libraries, and local organizations
- Volunteer program structure and coordination
- Program calendars and run-of-show documents staff can reuse
06
IT & Systems
The infrastructure behind programs and operations: ticketing, membership, scheduling, shared drives, exhibit computers, and the connections between them. We help organizations that don't have a full IT department make sound decisions and keep things running.
What this includes
- Reviewing current systems and identifying what is fragile or redundant
- Selecting and setting up tools for scheduling, registration, and internal communication
- Documentation so the next person can pick things up
- Ongoing support arrangements scoped to what the organization needs
07
Evaluation & Data
Finding out whether programs are doing what you hope, and being able to show it to a board, a funder, or a city council. We design evaluations that staff can carry out and that produce answers people can act on.
What this includes
- Logic models and evaluation plans for new and existing programs
- Surveys, observation protocols, and interview guides
- Analysis and plain-language reporting
- Setting up simple, repeatable data collection so evaluation isn't a one-time event
08
Staffing Support
People on the floor and behind the scenes when you need more hands than you have: program delivery, event support, and coverage during expansions, launches, and busy seasons.
What this includes
- Facilitators and educators for programs and events
- Short-term coverage during openings, renovations, and peak periods
- Help writing job descriptions and onboarding materials for permanent hires
